Bidding - How Do I Bid and Buy at BidSL? PDF Print E-mail

Bidding and buying couldn't be simpler. As you walk through the BidSL Second Life locations you can instantly browse all items and services currently being auctioned. See something that you want to bid on? Just touch the item's auction screen for a notecard containing more information regarding the item or service. When you are ready to bid, right click that same auction screen and select "pay" from the pie menu. Whatever amount you pay the auction device is the amount of your bid.

If someone comes along after you and places a higher bid, the amount you bid is instantly refunded to you and you are notified by a Second Life IM (and email if you've set you Second Life preferences to deliver IMs to your email) that you have been out bid. If you desire to bid a higher amount, simply go back and pay the auction device an amount higher than the current bid.

When you have won and item, you will be notified by Second Life IM (and email if you've set you Second Life preferences to deliver IMs to your email) that you have won. The notice will include a landmark so that you can conveniently return to collect your win. To claim your win, simply touch the item's auction screen and it is instantly delivered to you.
